I do not believe in Ghost, I do not believe in Ghost!!!!!!

But something really weird happen here when I shot this woodlands photo. This shot was shot in Mother Neff Park, I had a great time there a few weeks ago and posted a few from that trip and the history of the park.

My dad died when I was at a young age, but I can remember when he took me to see this beautiful park over 60 years ago, he took me to a place in the park called Hang Man's Tree, This was a huge Oak tree with a huge branch that hung off to the left side of the tree, this was the place where they hung 11 outlaws by the neck until dead. The tree is no longer, The sign is no longer, but I remember where it is or should say was.

I really don't know why I'm telling this, maybe in hopes it doesn't happen again because it isn't fun, I'm getting the tripod out and in processing mounting my camera, this doesn't take long because I have L bracket mounted on my camera, I have this feeling somebody watching me, I look behind me to the left, to the right,
nothing and nobody insight, I'm spreading the legs on my tripod I hear nothing I see nothing, I compose the shot and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, I'm going what the hell, I again look behind me, all around me, I see nothing and hear nothing.

I'm now setting the F stop, shutter speed and the 2 second timer when hair stands up on the back of my neck
again but this time a chill runs all the way down my spine, the last time this happen was when I was around
the age of 12, I was fishing on Nolan Creek when a cotton mouth water Moccasin decides to come sit with me
about 1 foot from me he sits and sits and sits and sits and I have chills and chills and chills, I HATE SNAKES.
He finally leaves and goes into the water and guess what? I leave to.

I'm ready to press the shutter button now I'm glad I have set the timer because I am now shaking, ever seen a grown man shake? should have been there, I press the 2 second timer and 2,000 things ran thru my mind
all at once, two seconds seamed for ever, I had time to think did I set the timer for 20 seconds or just 2?
Thank god it was just 2.

I don't think I have to tell you I got the hell out of there after that and didn't shoot a picture the rest of the day.

It turned out to be a very nice woodlands picture in my mind, but can't say it was a fun shoot.

I hope you enjoy the download and do you believe in Ghost?

Beautiful capture - maybe you should pp it with a blue overlay to get the spooky moonlight look for Hallowe'en.

I like the picture, but I was disappointed. After that long wind-up, instead of a fast ball, you threw a curve ball. I thought I was going to see an orb or something.

I do not believe in Ghosts. I do believe that some people have the capacity to process sub threshold sensory input and set off potential threat alarms. I pay attention to these feelings and immediately go to condition Orange.

It’s hard to say that I believe in ghosts, but we once lost a remote for the tv that was gone for three weeks and mysteriously appeared lying in plain sight. On another occasion my son heard his small daughter talking to someone when he and she were the only ones home. When he asked to whom she was speaking, she replied that it was the nice old lady who used to live there. That was spooky.

I like the great detail in this shot. The tree bark is amazing. I do believe that there are things/forces that we don’t see or understand. If you consider the things that are routine now but would have seemed totally out of the question even 100 years ago, you must realize that we don’t know everything yet!

Do I believe in ghosts? Absolutely! If you don't spend a night on Little Round Top or visit The Wall at 3AM. After that if you still don't believe in ghosts there is no help for you.

Yikes!!!! I hope whatever it was had a seat on that cactus! A beautiful shot, but I'm sorry you had a bad experience in such a peaceful-looking place, Johnny! Reminds me of the hanging oak at the ghost town of Blakeley on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The oak is still there, and you can see the rope marks on the branch. The judge sat in the crook of one oak, and they hung outlaws from the other.

Johnny, I love the photo.

As far as ghosts go, I am still not committed one way or the other. Being raised a Christian and accepting what we believe in Faith than yes, a Ghost has to be real. Just thinking of the Bible there are many references to occurences that would or could qualify as ghosts. Just my two cents on the subject.
