Was getting a little bored last night so out to the deck after dark playing around with a flashlight. Hadn’t really tried this before but did a little research in the past. Just wondering what you think, and remember constructive criticism always welcome.

First of all great shot. I see nothing to criticize
I would like to know more about how you accomplished it: lens, f stop and shutter speed anything else you are willing to tell us. I wonder if your technique would work on a cactus?
Well, you got a good result with this exercise. And added something in your quiver for your next scenic night scene.

First checked the amount of time to move the light beam over the tree, set ISO as low as possible and set exposure compensation -5 also black as much background as possible. Then started taking test shots while changing f stop and checking results.
You made a perfect exposure, IMO. The only issue I see is a bit of motion blur (not surprising for such a long exposure). I would just support the branch with something black to stabilize it. (Maybe some black thread would do the trick, but make sure it is not shiny).
