Need help on how to fix the colors on my shots. I have a canon 7d with 16-35mm f/4L wide lens. I thought I had white balanced correctly and took some shots of people that were static outdoors on a bright sunny day. All the exposures came out great but noticed in post through Lightroom they were all green. Anyway to fix this?

More than likely, there is a white balance issue. Depending on the severity, they can probably be adjusted to correct the issue.

Assuming it is a white balance problem and you shot RAW, it's easy to fix in post processing. Posting a sample image with "store original" might help diagnose the problem.

In Lightroom, start by setting auto color balance. This will get you close and you can adjust from there. Also, there is a white balance eyedropper that you can use to sample the color on something in the image that should be neutral - clicking on that neutral object will also get you close to the correct white balance. If you shot raw, then there is no problem adjusting the color. If you shot jpeg, then there might be some color loss.

Remember when shooting outdoors, if you on a lawn or under a tree, the sun light will bounce green into your shots. Something that many people forget to take into account, so a correct white balance setting is essential.

In addition to checking what white balance you had set, also look for a feature in the camera's menu "WB Shift/Bkt." This allows you to tweak the white balance in various ways, or even to do bracketed shots with slightly different WB settings. Check that this is zeroed out, set to the exact center of the grid and showing "0,0/+-0". "WB Shift/Bkt." is on the 2nd page (red dot) of my 7D Mark IIs' menu. I didn't look in 7D, but it's probably similar.

I had a whole bunch of images from an event showing a magenta cast. Couldn't figure out why. I was using two three cameras with Auto White Balance, which usually works great outdoors in full sun. When I investigated the problem images, it turned out they were all from the same camera. It took a while to figure out why, but turned out to be that somehow WB Shift/Bkt. had gotten shifted to a magenta bias. I know for certain I hadn't set it. So it must have been the gremlins in the camera! Once I reset that to zero, all was fine!

I forget if that occurred with my 7Ds or with the 50Ds I had used earlier. Either way, it was an easily overlooked incorrect setting, but also very easy to easy fix. I had to correct all the images the same amount in Lightroom, but that's easily done as a batch. After I figured out the adjustment on one of the images, I just "synched" all the images from that camera, to apply the same correction. That avoided having to correct them one at a time and got all the image back to my usual pots-processing starting point. Good news is... it never happened again!

You might try this. 1. send photo to photoshop. 2. In photoshop, or elements, or Affinity photo comand j or control j to duplicate background picture. 3. Blur filter layer Average filter. 4 the screen will turn all green. Invert the layer command i. 4. set blend mode to overlay. 5. Adjust opacity if color went to far. 6 If green color cast is still present, flatten image and repeat the sequence. Hope this helps I do this when ever I have a color cast and usually that will fix it. You can manually adjust the white balance after the fix to fine tune.
