It's not so much that a Biden presidency frightens me, but if he wins big he will most likely bring both houses with him. And that scares the hell out of me. An unopposed single party (a very liberal single party) can do serious permenant damage to the country. From packing the supreme court to changing the electoral college, you name it, very dangerous changes are possible. Truth is I just don't want to think of the harm that an uncontrolled far left democrat government may do. It may take decades to undo the damage.

We are all going to be better off if neither unhinged party has absolute control. Politicians have morphed into crooks. Nothing more.

No worries. Despite what you have heard, the current Democratic Candidate and his running mate are not so far to the left.

What is worrisome or should be for someone your age is that the Republicans are poised to eliminate social security. If you listen to what Trump is saying about Social Security and still vote for him, you are actually causing yourself financial harm.

The chance that Biden will not finish his irst term is quite high. If so, Harris is the most leftist of any democrat candidate in history. Quite close to socialist,\. A Bernie advocate..Trump has said that he will KEEP social security. But in order for. it to survivve changes MUST be made. A Biden presidency will do far more harm to my investments than trimming social security.

Interesting, Republicans pushed through a huge tax cut that befitted big business and wealthy citizens, concern for the deficit be damned. Then, predictably, they turned there attention to entitlements including social security because it needs to be changed to survive. What changes will be made?

I have paid in all my life. Will I get screwed in the end?

Vote Biden and find out. Honestly though, i do not consider myself wealthy and I did get a tax break. Let me research something before I speak any further.

Back in time to edit. Please check this article and chart, it seems everyone earning more than a dollar was given at least a 2% reduction. Our SS should be fine, changes made will likely not be made to us old farts.

Technically, you're correct. However, 85% of the benefits of the tax reduction was given to the top 10% of the people. That 10%, just happen to be rich people.

You got screwed when they made you pay into social security instead of allowing both you and your employer to invest the money in your own account. And social security obviously has to change to survive. I believe it is either this year or next year that it will pay out more than it takes in. That is clearly unsustainable.

Why shouldn't they get the bulk of the tax cut. They pay the bulk of the taxes. The bottom 45 percent pay no taxes, so they should not get a tax cut. The top 1 percent pay something like 30 percent, so why shouldn't they get a break. What do you think their fair share is. I suppose you want to steal all of their wealth.

Yes, disappointing... and just when we were on the brink of having a White-Christian-Dictatorship. Well better said a Pseudotheocratic Blanco Oligarchy.

I'e heard this crap since Trump Took office. Trump was NEVERa dictator. He won an elaction. He fired Obama's Czars. He fullffilled many of his campain promisses. All you bitter hillary supporters cstill can't get over hillary's loss. He ONLY had the house for2 years and a very narrow senate majority. less than then the 60 votes needed to pass any ill. SO the CHECKS AND BALANCES worked. I wish you Trump haters would understand what a dictator actually is. And get offf your bullshit superior attitude that you know what's best or everyone.
