My wife and I took a walk at Shadyside Lake Park in Anderson, Indiana, yesterday afternoon. The park is made up of a series of large gravel pits excavated by the old Myers Gravel Company years ago. It has walk trails, fishing, biking, boating, picnicking, and the like.

The downloads are sharper.

Looks like a nice place to visit, John. And some nice captures there.
Thanks for the tour.

#1 is very appealing to me for the suggestion of brush strokes caused by the slight rippling in the water.

The covered bridge looks almost 3D with that bright white showing through the cut-outs. Very cool exposure and pp.

The leaves on the path is a simple composition, but very effective for the color contrasts and of course the timeless story of changing seasons.

Nice!!

You have some beautiful shots in this series. I am not going to make any comments on what Linda has said because it is unusual for me not to agree with her judgement.
I imagine that first shot with the change of colors of the leaves. I like the b&w version of the bridge and wonder if you made any other images from a different location. The surroundings tell us about the environment where it is located.
I like the shot of the squirrel. The little creature looks really cute. The colored leaves on the pavement tell me that Fall is near.
Very nice!

Good set, John! #1 is compelling, it could be a painting.

Thank you! My brother was a master at these kinds of shots; perhaps someday I will vaguely approach his level.
