Ellijay is a city in Gilmer County, North Georgia. The city is the county of Gilmer. Gilmer County is known as the "Apple Capital of Georgia" and the city holds an annual Georgia Apple Festival in October.
There are a lot of Apple Orchards in this area that offers Apple Picking during September and October. Nice place to visit with kids to have an outing for fun.....

Boy, that looks familiar. We have quite a bit of apple picking around here, but I don't know if they'll be very busy this year. It begins next week.
