Looking For Fall Foliage Colors

Took a drive up Provo Canyon and on up to Strawberry Lake yesterday to see if the colors are changing. Not much going on with the Aspens or Cottonwoods...Maples and scrub Oaks were starting to get in the swing of things. Still, a gorgeous drive on a beautiful day and nice to see they are still fishing the Provo River. And, the Kokanee Salmon were running up The Strawberry River to spawn!

It's been 40 years since I've been there...
(logging gas wells for Chevron in the over-thrust formations on the Utah/Wyoming border)...
This gorgeous pristine wilderness area is timeless... and has an enchanting aura all of it's own...
Miss it but not the bitter cold winters... having to plug in a dipstick heater on one's car every night is not fun...
But summer/autumn is absolutely fabulous!

I always love the Provo, Jim. I am thinking about Wasatch or Rockport Parks this week to check their foliage.
