She is an absolute treasure, she is retrieving a ball, loves all her toys and is so loving.
She is coming along brilliantly.......We love her to bits..........She is like a ball of fluff
and is as loving as she looks in her photograph......Bless all their little hearts, they have
made her welcome....

My GSD tried to eat one of those a couple days ago. We went to the end of the beach where no one was and she was running in the surf. We were watching her. A girl walked up behind us with one of those on a leash. She walked up behind us and the thing started yapping. In a microsecond our girl had it in her mouth and was shaking it around like a rag doll.

I tackled our girl and pulled it out of her mouth. I gave her my card and told her to send me the vet bill (although she was at fault for the altercation). It will require a few stitches.

I think your comment is an absolute disgrace, tried to eat it eh? you are disgusting?? so flippant, cruel and uncaring and almost boasting and rude. It is obvious to me, that it should have been your dog that should have been on a leash not the "little dog", not "one of those" how you described it". You don't sound at all to me, to be a dog lover, just one those that have a big dog that attacks little dogs. "Shaking it like a rag doll"; eh! you sound almost proud of your hound. So in a micro-second it came out of the surf, and attacked the little dog, It must be a strange beach if it did all that in a micro second.........I don't believe a word you say. I hope they present you with a massive vet bill and maybe, you will keep you hound under control, because on this occasion it obviously wasn't. You are actually saying that because the little dog barked it deserved to be attacked. What a despicable attitude that is.......Except to boast, as it sounded to me.. there was no need at all for you to make this comment, absolutely unnecessary for any dog lovers, to read this awful episode and the flippant way you tell it, disgraceful.....

No. Because the dimwit walked up behind us.

Take it as a lesson if you care about your dog. She’s lucky I broke up the fight she caused. And that was only possible because she walked up right behind us on a huge beach.

My dog has never attacked another dog. Her dog started it. My dog came up to sniff.

In my opinion you are a complete and utter disgrace and a pathetic stupid disrespectful liar.
First off off you said you went to the end of the beach, where there was no-one there, did the young lady with her little dog suddenly appear, as if by magic. You now say your dog came up to sniff, Did it sniff the little dog in the surf????. Also, you are now calling the innocent young lady, who had her little dog savaged, by your vicious hound a "dimwit". Just 'you' and your irresponsible behaviour is the "dimwit". I could think of a lot worse names that you are. You should be ashamed, of your abusive none apologetic disrespectful self, and grow up and admit it was you and your irresponsible self, that cased the vicious attack on her little pet.
No-one else caused this....As for your card and vet bill......The jury is still out on that score???????

Graham of God's own County from a fellow lover of Yorkshire
This was an atrocious comment on your little dog.
I am glad that you replied so vociferously and rightly so.
I would like to think that something like this would not appear this side of the pond (it may be thought by some but not penned).

While the other dog owner doesn't sound to be too bright, it also sounds like your GSD is in need of a fair bit of training.

Maybe your GSD's owner needs a bit of training too.

First off Graham is that the writer is from Idaho. Idaho doesn't have water large enough to have surf. The person writing is just a blow hard and probably in love with themselves. Ignore the idiot.

alexol,  Good sir, with all due respects to you.  Would you kindly, please explain to me and others, what exactly, did the young lady do wrong, for you to say,  Quote "the other dog owner doesn't sound to be too bright". Unquote. Surely, that is grossly unfair to the young lady. The story, doesn't mention her doing anything wrong whatsoever. For you to criticise her and say she doesn't sound too bright, is disgusting. Would you be happy if
some-one called your wife or daughter, "Not very bright"....   Please explain why you insulted the young lady and I will apologise, if I am wrong.
Graham
