Hi all.. Im a newbie here to the site and kind of a newbie into photography. Its always been a passion..but just recently took the plunge from a point and shoot to a D5100. Feel like Im back in college studying again trying to learn every aspect of it =]

Thank you! We were on vacation in Garden City, SC last month and a storm was rolling in. The condo we stayed at was right on the Ocean. I must have taken over 100 pics that morning of the clouds alone!!

Ah, a vaca is a holiday and SC is South Carolina or Southern California? Some of us don't live in the US.

So sorry.. yes.. Vaca= vacation / holiday and SC = South Carolina. Garden City is just a few miles south of Myrtle Beach, SC. :D

Thanks! I love that shot... even hung it in my office at work. Its the outside of an old cell block from a prison that is no longer in use.

"sSpud" I don't mind you have a stutter in your web name :-( , I don't mind you spent time in a prison so long ago it is now disused, but that tree wall shot was worth all the pain.

Strange you should mention the Avatar name. In New Zealand the colloquial name for a potato is spud
