Paint Shop Pro 2020.....

Ok, I bought the ultimate software from one of the big box stores in NY city.
On the computer, it doesn't look anything like the old program. I feel like I'm having to learn the program all over again...... What's up with that?
Is there a button or 2 that will give it the old appearance?
Thanks for any help!
Pat
What "old" appearance are you talking about?
Go to edit go to file then work space and select complete. saying hello from Pittsburgh.

They changed it just because they could!
Face Book is going to a "New Look" this month, I am holding on to the classic look as long as I can, the new one sucks. And I have sent them contact messages saying that a few times. FB keeps changing to the new look on me and I have to reset to classic. Sometime this month the reset will vanish according to the folks at FB.
Code writers have to make changes to justify their jobs and paycheck. No matter how many times people remind them:
"If it ain't broke, don't FIX it." Add the new features, update the old features etc but don't change everything just because you can.

The way the program appeared before the "2020 model" came out.

Perhaps their research indicated otherwise.

I bought the same program, and I have no trouble with it because I don't have a previous version.
I've been hearing complaints from Facebook users about its new design. I don't use it, so it doesn't bother me.

Instead of facebook, I use an app called "friendly". It accesses facebook and facebook messenger, you dont need to download the messenger app, which is a battery drain on your phone.
Corel is making all its software, including PaintShop Pro, have the same look and feel. Microsoft did that years ago, with their Office products. In PaintShop Pro, specifically, they have moved functions around to make them more logically connected. I believe this had to be done because of all the added features.
I use Paintshop Pro too. I now have the 2021 edition. I believe someone responded to the answer but in 2020 they had several types of workspace. One was Photography Workspace and another was complete. Change to Complete in Workspace tab. Go to edit go to file then work space and select complete.

OK, but I use my phone to make phone calls and a rare photo. Well, maybe once a month I will hit the icon for the weather app. I use a laptop or desktop for everything else. My wife and daughter search etc on their phones and when the wife complains she has trouble reading the little screen I tell her to go use a real computer.

For a bunch of them I will bet that the research indicated that if they didn't redo everything the bosses might start wondering why they were paying so many people to set around doing ??????????
Therefore to justify those paychecks they "needed" to change and update everything, not just add on the new stuff.
Remember every time they change stuff around people using the software have their productivity drop while they get used to (read get slowed down by) the new version.
When is Paintshop Pro going to put out an Apple version, so that I don't have to change OS?
