In a 'carpe diem' moment at the beginning of January, I seized a last minute bargain beachfront apartment on Barbados. We had a wonderful time. Very friendly people, good food and great weather. I only brought my new-to-me used Sony RX100iii since we were travelling with carry on bags only, . The first shot is the view from our balcony. The last shot was taken moments before I slipped and fell into a waist deep pool of water. RX100iii is R.I.P. but I rescued the card.
While we were in Barbados we started to hear new reports about some mysterious virus in Wuhan, China. Little did we know what lay ahead and that it would be our last trip for the foreseeable future.
Nothing spectacular about the pics - it wasn't a photo trip - but in these travel famished days I thought I would share. Feel free to add your photos or reminiscences of Barbados.
Beautiful set, Phil! So sorry about the camera.
Really nice series. A pink church?!
Nice photos. Been there done that. After losing two cameras to salt water I finally bought a TG-4 Olympus waterproof. That's the only camera I allow near salt water. I recently replaced it with a TG-6 and I'm a happy camper.
Wow, Phil - you'll surely remember this trip for a lot of reasons! Your photos are beautifully composed and
engaging, as always.
Really nice shots to remember your vacation by--enjoyed seeing these.

Wow! A gorgeous mini- travelogue with images well considered and well composed!
Nice job. Look like you and your late Sony had an excellent and productive (albeit short) relationship!
You used it well! I hope you get another one!
Dave
Beautiful! I was there many years ago.
That's a lovely set. But the last one is amazing.

Excellent, enjoyable set! Being a landscape kind of guy, I too liked 1, 7, and 9. #7 has the opportunity for another shot. Cropping out the rocks on the left, with the one on the right located to the left of center.
