Water towers tend to be a big deal in small towns across the good ole USA. This is where I get my water to shower and brush my tooth.
Canon 5D Mk IV with Canon 70-200 F4 L II.
There are some beauties across the states.
Great part of the states to live.

You bet Triple G. I’m a small town guy. Big cities are ok, but give me a small country town for home.

Nice Dean....I like water tanks. There are a lot of neat ones and I photograph them quite often.
I can't find it, but kingsburg, can. They have one shaped like a swedish coffee pot. A link of interested.....

Right Frank, I can’t mentally locate them in my old cranial cavities at the moment, but I have seen a half dozen or so of those “art” type towers. When I was a youngster in small town, rural Georgia, we had a train water tank also. Fun to be “down town” when one of those stean locomotives pulled in for a fill-up.
Nice! I'm a small-town gal, guess I take them for granted more than I should.
I get a (probably unintended) chuckle out of the tower, which should of course be the highest point of a gravity-fed system, being labeled "apex".

Tks Couch Coyote, never thought of it that way.
Lived in that NC town for a couple years. Great little town.
Nice, I've got a bunch of family that live in Apex.
I love the peach shaped one on I-85 south going in to South Carolina!
Where I used to live they were a target for graffiti. It's nice to see a clean one.

Worked for over 20 years just down the road in Cary. Apex is a fine little town and I visited many times.
You’ve stolen our name! Alexandria, Indiana, was given the official title of Small Town USA by our government during WWII for the purpose of producing a propaganda pamphlet. Shame!
(I’m joking, of course, but we do have the official federal government designation of Small Town USA.)
