I'm ready to part with a lot of stuff including several Contact film cameras and lenses and at least a Nikon F 100 and a D 300. Selling it is my desire but at 85 the internet is a bit intimidating for this much. I live close enough to Philly/Baltimore and NYC to go there with a load and take a decent offer(s). I'd welcome your suggestions. I'm game to do online if that's the consensus but dealing with multiple buyers/shipping, trying to get another dollar doesn't appeal much even though I'm long retired with hardly enough to do. Thanks.

In person, B&H, by mail, KEH, pretty sure that's who I used.

You need to figure the cost of travel to any location and you have to physically carry the gear. Cost of gas, tolls and parking. B&H has either free or reduced parking with a near by parking lot. Also the health risk that will be incured of travel.
KEH, I find to be a good group to work with. At least compare the options.

I also would advise going to B&H and KEH. Both of these companies are good to deal with and fair. You will get a little less that trying to sell direct but it is so much easier. Since they will be reselling the items, they will pay you a wholesale price so they can turn a profit. I used to sell items on all the online sites but people often do not show up when they say, or want to argue about the price. I even had a guy send me a counterfeit cashier's check. Thank goodness my credit union spotted it as fake and I had not shipped it yet.

Most times they pay the shipping and send you a label to ship with. You can get quotes online and then if you accept the offer, all you need to do is box it and drop by the UPS or FedEX store.

Thank you all. I know of both and will likely use KEH. Thanks again.

Consider Service Photo located just north of Baltimore. Ask to see Burke, the owner, who handles all trades. He took all of my Nikon pro gear and gave me a very fair trade in towards a complete Fuji system. But call first due to limited hours because of COVID.

MPB is also a good buyer.
I got a very fair deal when I sold some things last year.
Not as much as if I had sold them myself, but more than I expected from KEH and B&H.

I live in Baltimore area and have delt with Service Photo since the mid 90s. I have both bought new and used and traded with them and can vouch that they are a first class outfit. Good luck in your endeavor.

How much for the F100? What kind of shape is it in? When last used?

I have sold to both B&H and KEH and both are marvelous to deal with. Have no fear. They have to make a profit so you will pocket sewer dollars net, but you don't have to deal with the buyers who can difficult sometimes. That is why I decided a few dollars extra was worth the trouble as I tried e-Bay selling first.

Give me a day to respond on price. Last used maybe 15 years ago. I'd say excellent shape as I generally baby my stuff.

Talking to Burke is a good idea.

However, he's not really "north of Baltimore," but towards the northern end of central Baltimore, about two blocks north of 38th street on Falls Road, about 5 minutes from I-83, less than a mile south of the Cold Spring Lane exit.
