I came to UHH more than six years ago, not knowing a lot about photography or post-processing. I was just getting into Photoshop in 2014, and it was intimidating. Digging through UHH postings and asking for help from UHHers led me to become better at "framing" potential stories with my camera shots, then improving them with software. (I use PS, Nik Collection, Topaz Labs, Topaz Studio 2 and, possibly most importantly, TKActions. They allow me to manipulate digits locally in ways that amazed me once I "mastered" them.)
Thus, I ask for the opinion of other experts, because a little tweaking can make a shot so much better.
Thank you for providing me the platform to thank UHH.
Amen, Dave! Many of us here have the same story.
Yep. Have gotten lots of help and ideas here on UHH.
I agree. The quality of some of our advanced and professional members is amazing. Along with the generosity to reach our one on one, at times.

Thank you Dave for starting this thread.
I too owe a lot to the UHH members who have contributed so much to my knowledge and understanding of photography.
Every day I am reminded of how very little I know about photography by the UHH forum.
By the very same folks that correct, shape, and further our conversations with their tolerance, knowledge, skills, and experience.
Thank you all for forgiving my rants and always being there, sharing your knowledge.
Smile,

đź‘Ť. I totally agree. Great forum.
I haven’t been coming here for so long but agree totally with you. UHH is a great resource and to my great surprise quite a valuable social group!
To me there is no other joy than to share my humble knowledge with others.
Absolutely! UHH for breakfast with coffee every day!
Thanks to the helpers and boo to the mockers. I read the subjects daily.

Thanks from me too. I may not post much, but follow UHH daily for tips, information, and inspiration. A biggie for me is finding out where not to shop for equipment, since reading UHH can cause GAS.

I heartily agree! I’ve been a member for 2 1/2 years, read the digest top to bottom every morning (retirement is great!), have posted some questions and received valuable advice given both kindly and generously, have developed some nice relationships and, in fact, someone I consider a very dear friend was met right here on this page. So from me, too, thank you UHH!
