I bought this lens several months ago. It is a real step forward for macro shots. Fun to see all the little bugs on the flowers. The other thing that impressed me was the fantastic portrait lens it is. Is also does anything else you want it to within it’s limit.
I shot the inside of an old barn with this lens and i was impressed by the it’s capability’s.

excellent lens works really well with my 5D Mk IV and occasionally I use an extension tube to get closer to fill the frame with my subject. It works quite well as a regular 100 mm lens for general photography too.

I bought the "L" version of this lens about 10 years ago and it is my go to lens for a lot of things. Fast, fast focusing, and sharp is an under statement.
