Barred Owl and owlet

While working in my woods I heard the low whistle of a Barred Owl and moved in to see what she was whistling about. I observed an owlet that probably left the nest too early or fell out. She was intent on the chick and I was lucky enough to get some pics of her and the owlet as it struggled to gain altitude on a leaning tree. The rest of the photos are a study in feather camouflage when the female perched on my feeder pole looking for a meal.
