After looking at your shot I think you should try to take the same photo but with a cloudy sky or in the fall as I think the reflections on the water would be stunning. If That pond was close to me I would go there quite often. I think I would also try some shots when there is a breeze and see what kind of a soft blur would be captured with the log being in sharp focus. Yes, my kind of place, good shooting.
