This fellow wasn't the least bit bothered by my presence. He was too intent on a meal.
Good shots, but you really don't want these guys around, they can be a disaster, and really tear up a dog. In a rural area - I keep the garbage in a covered can in the closed garage and take it to the dump twice a week. No problems. Even a lid and good tie down would likely work, but they are clever and "handy".
Interesting Ken - you got some good clear shots - should be helpful to identify him in a possible future line-up!
Great shots of this marauder. He looks hungry.
Great shots!
I love 'em. I know Quix doesn't but you can send them to my place--they can run off the neighbor's cats that keep eating "my" birds.

Friend in a suburban area had the same issue - bought cayenne pepper in bulk and ringed the feeders. Doesn't really harm them, but pretty quick, based on cats grooming habits, no cats at the feeders.

Excellent. I'll try that. My boids tank you.
Good set, Ken, he does wear a mask you notice.
Nice captures Ken - I spray fox urine on plants and shrubs that rabbits and deer eat. You might try something like that - I get it at Home Depot.

Always keep in mind:
When any typically nocturnal species is observed fearlessly abroad in daylight, that is abnormal behavior and is a common result of rabies virus infection! The great majority of wildlife infected with and capable of transmitting rabies with a bite or “nip” do NOT ACT “RABID” - THEY ACT UNUSUALLY FEARLESS AND TAME!!!!
