Sweden was the only large-ish country to not lock down their people, and as their daily infections rose, the media were more than happy to extol the brilliance of themselves and their country's dictatorial lock-down orders. Honest people, though, reminded their friends and family, neighbors and on-line acquaintances that the lock-down orders were only intended to delay the spread not to stop it, to possibly save hospitals from over-run and buy time for treatment options and research.

I mentioned Sweden a couple days ago and had another member post a negative media article about Sweden losing economic value anyway. I wondered why that article did not mention the actual Covid stats much, so I've looked it up.

I captured an image of the results of my search, and have another link to share.

The graph clearly shows Sweden has seen a major downturn in Covid deaths from a daily high near 200 to several recent days reporting zero. So I looked further. Where could I find this amazing fact in print?

Here is what I found, an American source dedicated to the premise that Sweden's decreasing death tolls are not proof of a successful course of action.

The headline alone is proof positive of my belief that the media is nothing but a propaganda machine.

Sweden's coronavirus death toll is now approaching zero, but experts are warning others not to hail it as a success

Sweden was the only large-ish country to not lock ... (show quote)

Good to see the U.S. ranks 9th in Coronavirus deaths per capita, not first as the Dems want you to believe.

We are below Sweden, BTW.

True, but we are still on the upturn of the curve, unlike Sweden. Still, in the Sweden article they admit people being outside in Sweden is likely helping them NOT infect, but the same media refuse to admit sweltering heat in Georgia, Florida, west Texas (no beaches) and Arizona would drive people indoors to the A/C and closer proximity and more infections. The media CAN'T allow good news to reach Americans. We have to go find it ourselves.

A death is a death.
