Shot in portrait mode would expose more of the face. Still a nice shot.

A favorite spot, MR. Might your photos benefit from more "exposure" or highlighting?

They might. Download (actual download, not look at the thing close-up) it and see what wonders you can perform on it. Then post (with his? permission) for comparison. Go.

Nice shot. I went there once, and found that there is no parking for the National Park on park grounds. So, some enterprising soul owns the adjacent land, and charges a small fortune (about $13. per vehicle) to park. I thought this was just robbery, so did not park there, but took shots from the road. Maybe it's me, but when we have public land that an individual takes advantage of, I don't want to give them my money. OK, my rant on that subject.

I noticed something new about Lincoln's eyes when I looked closely at the crop. It appears Gutzon Borglum left a rectangle square protruding from the iris and it dawned on me when seen from afar (like usual) this protrusion mimics catchlights in we always attempt to include in wildlife and portraits. What do you think?

That effect, plus the polishing of the center post in the eye, was part of Borglum's design, to give it an essential vitality.

Its a shame the Libtards are Dumborates tearing down historic statues , There are several articles stating that they are trying to remove the faces of the presidents, That would be terrible. But I figure I have a year or two left then I wont really give a damn,
