With the surge in Covid infections, medical workers are once again being hit with shortages. We don't have enough masks, gowns, gloves, or face shields. These aren't high-tech items. We should be able to crank these out by the millions. What's the problem?
A new shortage - coins. Stores have signs asking for the correct change.
OK, let's take your complaint about face masks. A manufacturer of face masks sees the need for increased production. They buy more equipment to train employees or they go to a double shift and hire more people and then after spending who knows how much money they are ready to increase their production of masks. Guess what. Now there are all these various sites that tell you how to make your own. Oh....$hit. I think after the initial onslaught most of the needed equipment is becoming more readily available. The lag time is a lot shorter. Even toilet paper and paper towels. Why the hell was there a run on those two items? Do you know??
