I had never seen a Great Blue until about 3 years ago when I started shooting again. Now I can find them at a number of places within a 15 minute drive from my house in Baltimore County. I love shooting them and the variety of poses that present.

Great Blue Herons make wonderful subjects. They are colorful, slow-flying, and large. They tolerate people fairly well, too. Nice set.

Wonderful shots!!! In my years of chasing after GBHs, I have never gotten photos as sharp and rich as yours.
