OK, what's with the dog and lizards? Good shot, but they bear some explanation. Are they part of the story, or are they just looking at the sky?

Your right , an explanation is in order,,, about 10 years ago we dug out a large area to control water runoff on our driveway as desert storms can be fierce. It kinda turned into a pond, sometimes water will stay for weeks and as such many wild critters show up, deer, javelinas, box turtles, coyotes, skunks, toads etc.,(the noise when toads show up is crazy). Grandson left some dinosaur toys out one day years ago and they just won't go away ,they find themselves in many pictures.. as for the dog ,Solo, he invariably will strike a pose when i put my camera on a tripod which I did as i was anticipating a rainbow to form.

Great story and shots. The "dinos" could be collared lizards, and horned toads. They did not fall very far from the evolutionary tree.

A beauty, the large white cloud reminds me of Don King's hair. Rainbows always feel like there's magic in the air.
