Good Morning- wondering if anyone that is getting good Focus BIF would be willing to share their custom tracking settings under C.Fn II - 1, 2, and 3 items. I am off to the coast today but I will be checking back this evening.

You should bring a print out of pages 559 - 562 of your manual to experiment and note your results over a 4-hour to 2-day test. Consider the initial customizations:
C.Fn II-1 TrackingTry Locked -1. Compare those results for an hour+ against Locked -2 and against Responsive +1.
C.Fn II-2 AccelerationTry +1. Compare those results for an hour+ against +2.
C.Fn II-3 AF point switchingTry +1 for an hour+ against +2.
C.Fn II-4 AI Servo 1st image priorityTry Release Priority **
C.Fn II-5 AI Servo 2nd image priorityTry Focus Priority
** - If not doing already, assure you press and release the AF button (shutter or BBF) as you track a subject. Imagine the scenario where a subject is coming toward your shooting position. Begin tracking the subject well before you plan to release the shutter. Before beginning a burst, release and re-engage the AF and begin shooting, quickly lifting and re-pressing your thumb on the assigned BBF. After shooting, release the AF until you begin tracking a new subject.
