Photojournalists are often at breaking news and have the opportunity to capture stunning photos. Such a forum would give the rest of us to see their skills. But one problem might be getting them to post and dealing with copyright issues.

Yes, good idea. Count me in. Studied photojournalism in college and now shoot for a couple of trade journals and event publications. Sharing stories, techniques, legal issues & etc. would be a good addition to the Hog.

There are over 30 volunteer-moderated sections on UHH. They are invisible to new users (not automatically subscribed, not shown in the digest unless subscribed and logged in - and a large percentage of members don't understand that even for Photo Gallery, the digest is simply a "sampling.").
But all you need to do is contact Admin to volunteer:
