Lord's Prayer
By a 15-year-old school kid who got an A+ for this entry.

The Lord's Prayer is not allowed in most U.S. Public schools any more.
A kid in Minnesota wrote the following NEW School Prayer:-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong.
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on.
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father!
~~~~~~~~~AWESOME~~~~~~~~~~
Not ashamed. Passing it on!

This is so very sad but true it’s the start of the beginning of the end what a generation is destroyed now we’re in the three generations of brain dead drones who don’t know God and now look at the country in the car now

Just more evidence that Christians can’t be Christians unless they feel persecuted. When you post crap like this you should expect to get pushback.

It is sad that you say this. It shows that you have little respect or consideration of others when they might not share your beliefs. This is called Racism.
I', done here.

The US has many citizens who believe in a god but are not Christians. ‘Belief’ should not be forced down people’s throats.

What part of "General Chit Chat" do you not comprehend? Or maybe you didn't get a very big vocabulary from your education?

This from a retired teacher who got tired of having 10-12th students whose reading/vocabulary couldn't handle a text book written at the 8/9th grade level. My last 20 years of teaching I gave twice a week vocabulary quizzes from lists of history/geography/government vocabulary words. I once had a mother complain that those quizzes were beneath her "Gifted" son until I showed her his average scores on my quizzes was a C-. Then she shut up. And once a hardcore died-in-the-wool Gang Banger got tired of other students whining about the vocabulary quizzes and got up in class and chewed them all out and pointed out he studied the word list for 10 minutes before a quiz and had a B+/A- average on them. "So shut up and study, this guy is trying to make up for your crappy reading skills." This was an 11th grade University Preparatory Program class, he was there because it fit his schedule and his Parole Officer insisted he be in the class. (2 POs with an office on campus-that tells you something about the school) The kid had a near genius level IQ, he used his brains to take over and run the gang he was in.

No, it is prejudice, racism involves people of another race/ethnic group.

But, how is it OK to keep the religious from praying etc as long as they don't try to force their views on others. One school I taught at had a "silent meditation" period of 10 minutes where students were free to pray, read, think, or pick their nose as long as they didn't try to force their choice on others. It worked great. That kid with his version of the Lord's Prayer would have fit right in at that school.

We did have a few students and one of their teachers go after a Bible/Prayer Group of students who sat together at breakfast and lunch at a table in the corner away from others and prayed, said Grace and read from the Bible and books of other religious. (Imagine that, they studied other religions!) They were quiet about it, you could barely hear them at the next table. But this wannabe totalitarian dictator got a few students to complain that they were violating their rights to not be exposed to faith and prayers. They lost, it was pointed out that on a campus 2 blocks by 2 blocks they had to go out of their way to find the group and get close enough to be "offended".

Nothing about that was a reference to persecution. It was merely a statement of the sad state of affairs our country is in now. If you fail to understand that it may be because your ears are too close together. To make it plainer you’re a narrow minded bigot.
