I have been trying to sell a Nikon (Nikkor) AF-S 10-24mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED DX Lens with accessories in this section for over 6 months. I have reduced the price several times, but have not had any takers. If the price is the issue (which I can't understand why), where can I find the current value of the lens so that I can re-post it accordingly??? I have looked on Ebay at the current value of similar lenses, and I have also looked at Adorama and another similar website to see what they are selling the same for. Suggestions are welcome, thank you.

From what I have seen, this is a great price for a well cared for Nikkor lens.
It's not over priced at $399 that's low but still fair.

Your welcome.

Maybe you could describe just what this Nikkor glass is good for & what Nikon bodies it
works best on. My lowest power lens is a 20mm AIS prime & it goes up from there.

How would this lens work for & what does it lend itself for best.
I came from a world where Telephotos were no where as clear as
primes.

My next lens will be a Nikkor 200mm AIS Micro lens to complement my
105mm Micro for close work. However I am open to learning how well
modern Telephoto glass works with today's D cameras.

Who knows maybe you will get someone who just does not know that they need
this for there glass Collection.

This is a very good small wide zoom. I have it. Works well on DX and at 16mm on FX Nikons. Primarily for landscape and tight spaces, but also good in town / city for street work. You can go out and check Sold prices Link https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Nikon+AF-S+10-24mm+1%3A3.5-4.5G+ED+DX&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1

Below is what your lens is actually selling for on ebay. This will give you a good idea of what your lens is worth.

It has value to you. The market thinks not.

There is a good possibility no one here is interested in the lens or have it already. You might want to expand your audience.

The key is to post your lens in several places.
If you are posting in one place, your audience is limited to the relatively few people that read your Ad. If none of the couple of people are looking for what you are selling, it won't sell no matter what the price is.

I'm sure it is solid and good quality, but a brand new 10-20 DX AF-P Nikon lens is selling for around $280 right now. Those who want to go wide may care more about the 10mm than they do about the longer end going to 24 instead of 20, saving some money, and getting new with warranty.

go to KEH - one of the larges dealer in used camera equipment. If you're selling it will give you a tentative offer based on quality, subject to its inspection. If you're buying, it'll give you a cost. You want both to judge what you can sell it for

1st, everyone has given you good advice. 2nd, selling a lens is different than selling tripods. 3rd, Bill's links give you a good idea of Ebay's pricing, but you need to look at that very critically. US model or import? I always look at Keh and UsedPhotoPro. Not only do they completely evaluate the lens, but they provide a warranty as well. Your accessories, particularly your case is nice; but not of significant value (I can only speak for myself). No original box or paperwork from a private seller does not place the 'value' at the top of the market for a lens that is readily available.
Also, if you have some spare time, why don't you take a ride up to Dan's Camera City in Allentown and see what they can do for you. Maybe you can bundle a sale and purchase to make the trip worthwhile.
Good luck.

In eBay you can look up the How many actual are sold. Right know to buy DX lenses make almost no sense,Nikon have a lots of good FX bodies now. I use the 810 and I wouldn’t go back to DX body.
I try to sell a18-55mm 2.8 what I have in Photo store as consignment, even he said they may not sell it ether.

The ebay prices are somewhat all over the place. If you look at a reseller like KEH.com, their price might be the best you can hope for. But the reality, especially if you want to 'sell', is you have to lower your price under KEH by at least 25%. Why? You're not offering a return policy. You're not offering 6-month guarantee. Also, your 'extras' add nothing the price. Include US shipping in a single combined sales price. Plan to use the 2-day fixed price boxes from the USPS to only US addresses, with the appropriate insurance upcharge to you. Selling used camera equipment hurts, especially when forced to realize how little value is retained vs the price paid for new equipment. The savvy photographer shoots with used equipment.
