Really nice. Well done. We have fireflies that show up in our backyard . Got to experiment and see if i can capture them on my camera.

At some point yesterday a firefly got in my house and I watched it fly around my bedroom last night, it was pretty cool.

Thanks, backyard makes it hard to get no ambient light. I need to go out driving and find a darker spot.

I can't wait every year for June. Love the Summer light show.

Yes it is. I love it every year. It is like Mother Nature looked at our attempt to light up trees at Christmas and said hold my beer.

Well done! Would you share your camera's settings, for those of us who want to try it? Looks to be about a 10-second exposure, based on the number of flashes, by each firefly.

Wonderful. No fireflies out here of course but they are one of the few things I miss from Indiana. Thanks for posting.

I've found ISO 3200 gives best flash color and picks them up. I'm using an a7II ISO 3200, 55mm 1.8 set at 2.8 for 20 seconds, but you need darkness, the red streak of light in the field is coming from the streetlight about 500 ft away and the light lighting the yard is from a solar light about 10 ft behind me. Here is another shot but with my 35 2.8 set at 2.8 and 15 seconds. As long as you don't get stars in, you can go longer.
