Worlds largest container ship

This is the HMM Algeciras the largest container ship in the world,it can carry up to 23,964 containers,has a crew of 23,its 400m long 61 m wide average speed 12knots gross tonnage 228,283 tons it has 2 two stroke engines each one is 22mtrs high 18 mars wide.it cam to the uk on Sunday to Thurrock on the river Thames and left on Monday.on its way back to Singapore.photo is a bit hazy take with pas.from about 4 mile.

The only reason these container monstrosities exist is the greed of consumers. Don't blame the commercial operators, they are simply reacting to the demands of their customers who are distributing these imports to satisfy consumer demands! Cheapest is best, apparently!

Wow! Does this mean that you don't have a refrigerator, a TV, washer and dryer, car??

I wonder how many tugs it takes to dock her ......and not many ports can handle that big a ship.

As far as I could see when it docked at Thurrock there were 4 tugs,it took a month of preparation for the arrival of the ship.
