This Squirrel was raiding my bird feeders until I squirrel proofed them, to keep him out of the fruit trees I started throwing out a handful of Sunflower seeds in the morning. After a couple of weeks he started to climb up on a bench and stare at us while we were having breakfast as if to say don't forget me. Well whenever he came to the window I threw a few more seeds his way, and as a result he learned to ask for more. Taken thru breakfast room window.

The window must have been closed and the blinds drawn as there is no photo.

My mom always fed the squirrel in our front yard. If she didn't throw anything out by a certain time , the squirrel would knock on our front screen door with its tail. Once my brother opened the door & it actually entered our kitchen. Unbelievable.

Squirrels will nest close to food sources. Let that sink in. . .
IMHO, If I were you I would lay in a good supply of Hardware Cloth to make your attic squirrel proof.
Once they get into your attic they will make a horrible mess and they are almost impo$$ible to evict even for a profe$$ional.
On the other hand, they are cute. . . Your choice though. . .

They have a comfortable home atop the Neighbor's Palm tree. The attic is already squirrel and roof rat protected. I was surprised one day when a bushy tail climbed up our stucco wall.

Nice photo. The begging expression will get him breakfast every time. I feed them too. I have one that will sit on the feeder, set perfectly erect, fold his front paws, look in the kitchen window, and kinda pray that I don't forget him. When they get this dependent we should be able to deduct them on our income tax.

I have fruit trees in the yard and considered trapping and shooting but being a country I couldn’t. We now look forward to his morning visit.
