Thanks for the NY attention to detail . Here is the message I sent to Nikon, based on your information. Hopefully this will clear any suspected misinformation. Your factory inspected my Z6 Nikon and certified it perfect. Your warranty is in case it was not done correctly? That warranty is not transferrable (Article ID 000001237) does that mean that Nikon will not repair the camera if needed at a later date even though it was bought from a licensed Nikon dealer?

Wes, you are mixing things up here.
1st-- the warranty is not transferrable. This specifically means that Nikon, under the original purchaser's warranty and for the original purchaser only (from an authorized Nikon dealer), will repair and/or replace at their discretion, any of their products as long as it is still under warranty. Camera bodies- one year; lenses-US-5 years.
2nd -- If you sell the camera or lens, and the new owner sends it in for repair; and it is within the warranty period-- Nikon will not repair and/or replace at no charge. Nikon will only repair if the the purchaser can prove that the camera was originally purchased from an authorized Nikon Dealer (Your original invoice)-- not grey market. Nikon will send the owner an estimate for the cost of repair.

I never had warranty need on any of my Nikon equipment. I did have a recall on a lens they handled nicely. I do not believe warranty is an issue on recalls.

I joined UHH to share pictures and ideas with fellow photographers and have enjoyed the experience for all these years but this is the first time I've offered to sell anything. That has been an entirely different experience. I am accused of "misinformation" Lying and deception. The questions are not about the quality of the camera certified by Nikon, but reality. It is obvious I am not going to sell my Nikon on UHH so I will list it on eBay where I have hundreds of 100% positive feedbacks. For me it will be worth the $200+ they will charge to have their backing ... guaranteeing the camera will be as promised. If someone doesn't want to buy it they won't bid and will not accuse me of dishonesty. When they receive the camera they will test it and enjoy the upgrade and not worry about the opinion of others. But thanks for looking.

I haven't taken a picture with the camera after paying $1,575.04 for this new camera then another $492.30 for the lens. Paying about $600.00 to get a look at the new improved camera hardly seems like the thing to do. looks like I have me the latest technology to enjoy.

You need not use all the features. The tilt touch screen can make it very easy to use. with the info button. You can shoot in Auto and get great images with no fussing. You might be pleased with what it does for you.

As I PMd you, starting another thread with clarity on the warranty might do the job. Should note it is better than grey market because Nikon will work on it if ever needed.

If you keep it you should upgrade the firmware to version 3. It really helps the auto focus.

Most helpful. I think this is the reason I joined UHH. It took me some time to learn the D70s I have. Although I have had several photography classes I find I rely on the green setting very often, along with the close-up setting with the flower to highlight a flower or relic. Thanks so much.

Why are you giving WES such a hard time and possibly screwing up his sale. If a person paid his asking price they are saving money off BH price plus. Whatever their state sales tax may be. So that a few hundred in savings. If he provides the receipt and has never registered the warranty the Boyer can register it and provide the receipt to nikon...I have gotten warranty service that way. And besides he has an asking price...prospective buyers have the Ability to negotiate. Leave the poor guy alone...

Don't worry. Someone may buy it..and you can always revise your pricing...and you can always sell it someplace else and mark it 'Sold'.
Best of luck.
