I am looking for a cordless shutter release/interval tomatter that will work on a nikon D 500 any suggestions/ And yes I know the D 500 has a Built-in intervoltometer, but I'm primarily interested in the shutter release function just thought I would get them both combined.

Adorama has a really good one, the brand is Flashpoint. I have one, it's easy to use and has never failed me.

I got one of these as a Christmas gift and am very satisfied with it.

I use the Vello Wireless Shutterboss . Don't remember the cost but it works great on my D500

I have one of these and they work well but always remove the batteries when you are finished using. If you don't and you leave the receiver on, it will be dead the next time you go to use it.

Also, I don't like the fact that you can't do a long burst of photos on the model that I have. I think the new model will allow long bursts...

The correct term is "intervalometer." Search for that on Amazon or your favorite photographic vendor and you will see many choices.
