Leftist Ideals

On the one hand, the leftists demand we confront the reality of our history and decry America as an unjust place. On the other, the left demand we remove all memorials that cite the lives or actions of those who supported the Confederate agenda. Is the demand that we admit to the past or ignore it?

On the one hand, leftists want to empower the state to quell free speech and mandate what ideas or ideals are allowed in public discourse. On the other BLM leadership are quoted as saying the recent riots are 'the first time I felt like the government had no control over me." So is BLM espousing individual freedoms or government mandates and surveillance?

Or might the leftist platform more accurately be defined as opposition to Conservative policy? Suggest freedom is a grant of the government ..... unless one protests government (a distinctly Founding Fathers ideal, it happens...), or is the argument that freedom of protest is dependent on which injustice may be perceived?

If protesting the governmental overreach of mandated lock downs is a national crisis, how is rioting, looting, and screaming without masking NOT?

Hypocrisy often?

The left is really short on Ideals. Their Ideal cabinet is just about empty.

You know maybe this is a good idea, Americans watching their mouths, being nicer to each other.

A smile and a nod when you pass each other, saying you're sorry when you accidentally get

in someone's way. Cut out the snarkiness. A smile goes a long way.

According to a Washington Post poll, 74% of Americans support the peaceful protests. According to a CNN/SSRS poll, 84% of Americans think that the recent peaceful protests are justified. 67% of Americans think that racism is a big problem and 22% think that it is asomewhat of a problem. Those numbers indicate that there are more than just Democrats who support the protests. It might be time for Trump and his base of cult members to remove theirs heads from the sand.

Apparently William Barr does not. He ordered the forceful clearing of a path occupied by peaceful protesters so that the DC Bible Trumper could have a phoney photo-op. How much support did Colin Kaepernick get when he peacefully protested? Why do so many conservatives choke if they try to say the phrase "Black Lives Matter "?

He said he did not give the order to move unruly protestors along with the peaceful rock and bottle throwers back one city block to allow for secure space for the President, perhaps you wished for harm to the President.

If the BLM was anything but a revolutionary group they would be hard at work in New Orleans, Chicago, and many other cities including Washington D.C, all cities where black lives are taken almost daily by their own.

80% of Americans believe in God (of one name or another). Does that make God a fact?

There is NOT any data to back the claim that the police are hunting black men. 9 unarmed black men died at the hands of police in 2019. 5 of those, according to the data, were either attacking or fleeing the police. For comparison, last week, Chicago had 24 people die, mostly black in a single weekend.

There are bad cops who do bad things. There are poor cops that let statistics cloud their judgement. There are a small number who are legitimate racists. 100% of Americans want to do away with those cops. However, it's an outright lie to implicate all cops for the actions of some. At least that's what all the leftists say when a radical Islamist commits an act of terrorism.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement_in_the_United_States

With 18000 U.S. cops, if there was an actual 'hunt' going on would kill 180 black men every day if only 1/100 of the cops were sucessful on a daily basis. The actual number was 9 unarmed in a YEAR.

The riots are not about black lives, or the news would be up in arms every weekend in Chicago and all of us would know every name of every person killed in Chicago, but we don't.

The riots are not about the cops in general, as the cops kill more white people than black, even thought the black / cop encounter is more common is high crime areas than white / cop encounters. If it were about COPS, we'd know more names like Daniel Shaver and other non-blacks killed in questionable circumstances, but we don't.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/09/us/police-shooting-video-arizona.html

By the way no police were convicted of anything and, no national media outrage coverage persisted, and NO RIOTS.

The protests are about fomenting hate and division and nothing more.

Black Republican Senator Tim Scott stated in 2016 that he was stopped 7 times in one year while driving. I guess that those 7 stops in one year were just coincidental because surely we don't have racism in our police departments or in our country.

Assuming Mr. Scott to be truthful here:

Just as it is in real estate, location location location. Police actions are, and should be, based on both accusation and evidence, and probabilities. If you work a location with high white meth usage, you will be stopping white folks. If you are in a high black crime area, you will be stopping black folks. Simple math.

To attribute 'racism' to cops doing their job with logical thought and attempted efficiency is just lazy. It's no more 'racist' than a pee-wee basketball coach grabbing the tallest pee wee basketball kids to play post is "short-ist".

You might be gullible enough to believe anything said by Barr or Trump. I'm not.
