As a kid I recall my mum saying she needs eyes in the back of her head. I guess to ensure I didn’t get up to any mischief.
Anyone recall that saying. Glad she wasn’t a spider??

Hi "Bunko",

I recall that saying very well and my Mom really did have eyes in the back of her head - although I never actually saw these eyes I just know they were there.

All the best to you and yours and stay safe during these difficult times,

Terry

Got me too, then I had to really laugh... Can't believe I jumped at that. But I really do hate spiders. Killed a brown recluse yesterday hiding behind the toilet.

Here in Hawaii we have these very big spiders locally called "cane spiders" because they were brought from somewhere else by cane growers to control pestiferous insects. The Hawaiians regarded them as good luck if they were in the house and never killed them although they are easy to kill because they are relatively slow moving. At my web site www.CaptainBobPhotos.com you can find some images I took of a small one catching and eating a moth and cokroach. It took the spider on the order of 5 minutes each to completely disolve the roach and moth.

Who hasn't heard that from their mother? Another common mother saying, "Wait until your father gets home".

My Mother never told on us, she very calmly handled our "infractions".
We did bend over and got the yard stick.
She did not want to unload on Dad after his hard day at work. Wonderful Mother and Wife.
