Phoenix, as well.

For the life of me, I can't understand what looting and destroying property at a shopping mall in Scottsdale has to do with expressing displeasure over the behavior of a police officer in Minn.

There was a similar experience in Philadelphia of “people coming together” to clean up the damage caused by the Black Lives Matters protestors looting, setting fires and defacing property. Unlike prior protests, the breaking of small business store windows, setting fires and looting of businesses continued today throughout Philadelphia. The Mayor made a statement pleading with looters to remember that many people in their community lived in apartments above the businesses they were torching. There were 300 fires in Philadelphia last night into today. How long will it be before the protest looters target residential communities.

This is the twitter pic from Nashville: Love seeing both a white person and a black person working together to clean up their great city! This is what America really is:

Actually, I have friends in Philly who spent the day cleaning the city with their BLM shirts on. No republicans in site.

When will you white people quit killing unarmed black people. Maybe time to go to Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Narberth and the rest of the Main Line.

In his book Day of the Locust, Nathanael West, describes in detail the motivations for such riotous behaviors.

Here and now, in this moment, tens of thousands of people that have been cooped up for months have found a way to vent their frustrations.

The flashpoint in Minneapolis is just a matter of circumstance. On any given day in cities all across this country events such as this occur. Albeit few of them end in a fatality.

We have a perfect storm of widespread anxiety coupled ineffective leadership at the highest level.

On today’s call with governors Trump made a conscious decision to escalate the violence. Trump has perfected the art of doing exactly the opposite of what is needed at any given point in time. Several Republican governors have called his decisions to escalate a mistake.

To cap off everything he decides to come out of the bunker to play brave for the cameras.

He has absolutely done the opposite of what is correct.

What is the correct thing for Trump to do? He goes into the bunker - you shout "wrong" (he's hiding)....he comes out of the bunker - you shout "wrong" (he's playing brave for the cameras). If he does nothing, what will you say about him? If he does something, what will you say about him? Everyone has learned over the past 3+ years that NOTHING Trump does is considered right by the Dems....he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. And people are sick of that TDS attitude towards the President. Get over it. He's here now, and he's going to stay here for 4 more years. Deal with it.

The correct thing is to go television and tell all the people that we as a nation are bigger than this.

We Americans must stand together to work towards solutions that will answer those issues on the subject of policing and law enforcement.

Trump thrives on chaos. He has no desire to stop anything. He is a coward with a poor vocabulary that is incapable of speaking in a calm and sincere manner.

He is not the best man for the job of being an unifying force which is what is needed at this moment in history.

Protests turn violent more frequently, and turn more violent when the protesters are morally outraged.

He could act presidential for his last few months. Instead he will be the first president since 1807 to use American military against Americans.

Yes but there is the underlying anxiety of the pandemic contributing to the unrest.

Remember, Trump was ginning up people to revolt the shutdown. Then this happens and what happens he fans the flames.

The will study this moment in politics for a hundred years.
