Can the information/data embedded in an image downloaded to my computer be called up and viewed? I tried to find the answer in the "Search" section but had no luck but I could well be entering the wrong question.
I Use exif data viewer download from here,
https://linangdata.com/ I think it only works with jpeg though I am not sure.
Windows: right click the file, then choose properties, then details.
Editing software will usually have more information.
This free site online is another source:
http://exif.regex.info/exif.cgiI sometimes have trouble making it past "I am not a robot"
Macintosh: Open the image with Preview program. Command i Then click on Exif tab.
Any suggestions for an iPad user? I hate downloading the image, saving it to my camera roll, then calling up the program to read exif data and then finally deleting the image from my camera roll.

I certainly don’t understand why they would think you are a robot. Your avatar says you obviously are not.

I use PIE, picture information extractor, they have a basic free download. It will give you more information than you thought possible.
I am wondering that also.
Wondering about everything.
Sorry, I forgot to include the quote, wondering how to to find that information on an iPad.
I was hoping to see the metadata in the IOS browser without having to save the file and then delete when I’m done. Too many gyrations just to see what lens and shutter speed they used.
When you view an image in the browser on a web page the metadata isn’t really there in any usable format. The image has to be downloaded to get the data. Then you can look at the metadata when you open the image. On iOS Safari that’s a clunky process with Safari. Firefox has an extension that allows direct EXIF data viewing, so that might be helpful.
