In the process of buying a new house, it will be the first time living in the country, if all goes well. I will miss my crowded suburban yard full of roses, daylilies. clematis and a few others. From what I have been told, I will soon be seeking out deer-proof plants. I am actually looking forward to starting again, but oh, those clematises, they will be sorely missed. As will all the others!
Jackmanii clematis, a long bloomer. See how close the neighbors are now?

Gorgeous garden, Katy! Take some with you.
Nice set, Katy. Most of my wildflowers are also gone or are going.

Purple roses are magnificent. Be sure to send pictures of new home in the country.

Thanks, Mike. Some will go with, most too established to move. I can only root roses in the winter.

Beautiful shots! Removed from the city (Tacoma, WA) to a rural setting (Port Orchard, WA). So quiet we could hear the stardust fall...
We dug up some roses and other plants and trees (In Washington State, the Evergreen State-plenty of trees everywhere). A fun and entertaining process- starting from scratch to build the garden we (My Wife) wanted.
I think it is a potentially exciting time for you!
May I ask where abouts you are moving to?
