May I have an opinion please. I have a Canon 70d and all of the lenses that I have for the camera are EF lenses. AS prices have been moving quite a bit, I have seen the 90d for the same as the 6D mkII. I am mainly a landscape and family amateur shooter. If I were to purchase an upgrade which would you suggest.

The RP is a bargain now. Would use all your ef lenses with the adapter. What is your budget? 5d mark iv is nice.

For you, the 6D II. Since the 90D is a crop body which would work well for sports and wildlife, the 6D full frame series will meet your needs in landscape and portraits etc....

Your 70D is a cutting-edge, professional-grade DSLR featuring a 20MP sensor. You can buy another camera to spend money, but there won't be any real difference, even in moving to a full frame camera.

What do you envision happening with a newer camera? Do you have series II (or III) EF lenses that sharply focus in image circle onto a still-higher megapixel sensor? Are you capturing your images in RAW and processing with professional-grade software? Do you have a speedlight flash? Do you have a quality tripod? My point is to try to redirect an urge for a new body onto areas that are more likely to yield improved results with your current body.

It's your money. It's your decision. It you let the UHH community spend your money, nothing you have will ever be good enough to their standards.

I have a similar situation and I am also looking at the RP, 90D and 6DMK2. Have fun, but to move forward the RP may be at the top of the list

I agree 100% with CHG_CANON

Practice and experiment
The person behind the camera is the most important piece of equipment period

At this point if sticking with DSLR I would go 90D as that is the apparent replacement for the 80D and 7D MII.
Shoots very fast with a great AF system and does video like a pro with the Canon exclusive DPAF.
Also the sensor is 32.5 mp and is the highest mp apsc sensor anywhere I believe. Most all others are 20-24 mp so you will get a huge boost in resolution with the 90D.
Has face detection when mirror is used.
Uncropped 4K video.
11 fps which is faster than the Nikon D500 so it will be superb for sports and birding.
WiFi and Bluetooth.
If you want to go FF I would definitely go the R mirrorless series. They look to be the most advanced series looking at the R5 as an example of things to come.
ALL you lenses are 100% compatible with the R series so NO problem there and any EF/EFs lens you ever come across for cheap will work 100%.
Have fun making the decision but the 90D is one very advanced camera that has features beyond any other APSC DSLR that I know of.

I haven’t picked up my 6D since I bought a Canon R. Purchased a refurbished camera from Canon at a very attractive price. For me it was a smart way to go and I saved a bunch of money.

as (CHG CANON) said theD70 is a good camera. You must be aware that if you have "S" lenses they will not work on a full frame camera.

I have the 80D and can say I have absolutely NO urge to upgrade.
