This spiral stainglass HDR image won tonight's club competiton with the set theme of 'Patterns or Textures'. It was an image to 'make up the numbers of 4'. My first choice (a texture shot of a wheel hub) took second place. Taken in Dallas, Texas a few years ago. It is the ceiling of the white building which I think is a church. I just wandered in and saw the lovely spiral of stainglass which was not apparent from the outside. I set the camera on aperture priority, estimated the focusing distance, set the self-timer, place it on the floor and fired it. A bit of pp in CS3 to burn in the central part, lightened the areas between the stainglasses, and sharpening.
