Macro Options for Nikon Z Camera

Okay, I watched his Costa Rica video, and as I suspected (and he confirmed in the comments) what he is referring to is the automated "focus shift shooting" feature in the D850 and Z7 bodies. And yes, for that feature, you have to use an AF-S lens so the body can vary the focus setting automagically. I do quite a bit of macro work and focus stacking, and I have yet to use that feature (especially since I recently bought a StackShot system!).

So to say that "if you want to do focus stacking with a Z7 you need the latest 105 macro. Older lenses won't work." is just way out of context and misleading.
