Same view different lens or birds vs deer.

I put a deer feeder up on my trail but the deer have not been eating from it. I leaned out my window and took a photo of the feeder on my trail using a 35mm lens. The feeder is supported on a white post if your looking for it.

I noticed that birds have discovered the feeder so I used a 600mm f/4 lens plus 2X Tele-Converter to photograph the birds. Both photos where taken out the same window and no cropping was used. So we have the same view but two different lenses.

Nice shots, interesting lens comparison too. I have to admit, I have never seen a feeder like that, I like that design.

It's called a Rednek deer feeder. It seems to work well. Glad you liked the photos. Thanks.

If I were a deer I would be a little bit suspicious of that feeder, although it might work well in some areas.
I have found that pouring some cracked corn on the ground will attract the deer in our neck of the woods.
Otherwise, I would never be able to photograph them. They are waiting till dark now to come out to eat so I'm not having much luck lately.

There is so many yummy new green shoots popping up everywhere. The deer have many options when it comes to eating. I don't think they will be using my feeder until next winter. I did see some turkey eating the corn off the ground that the small birds knocked out of the feeder. I setup my camera in hopes of getting a good picture of a turkey but have not seen one since.

Funny how that darned watched pot won't boil.
But when you least expect it and don't have your camera on you------
