Epson V600 -- Contact Sheets

Is it possible to make contact sheets on the Epson V600 using the Epson Scan software?

I'm asking because I have several medium-format negatives, of various sizes, none of which really fit well into the supplied negative holder, mostly because whoever took the photos originally cut them individually so there is not complete strip of negatives. It's a real PITA to scan these individually just to see what they look like.

Don't know a way to do it direct from the scanner, but it's very easy to do in Windows 10

All you need to do is put the negatives on the glass, close the lid and scan them. Then in your processing software convert them as a sheet to positives and print them.

Medium format? Do you mean two and a quarter by two and a quarter? A negative holder for the V600 accommodates four single negs of that size, not strips.(Another holder takes strips) Appropriate software (i.e. PS) can convert to positive images from which you can make "contact sheets" (proof sheets?).Can't help you with other sizes.
BTW, you cannot scan negatives directly on the scanner glass. They must be in a holder for proper location for the scanner, and the scanner must be in transparency mode.

Medium format? Do you mean two and a quarter by tw... (show quote)

you will also need to take the white cover off the lid...this is where the light comes from for scanning negatives and slides...just slide it up and it comes right off...

I took the white cover off and made a paper template to fit negative under the clear portion of the V600 scanner. beautiful contact prints from old 2x4 B/W negatives.
