In about two weeks I am giving my camera club a digital slide show of a recent two week trip to Santa Fe and Taos. I would like to use Windows Explorer slideshow but cannot figure how to control and vary the hold time for each image. I may want to hold one two seconds and the next one one minute while discussing it. I don't want any special effects, voice over, etc. Just want the image to forward with the click of the mouse.
I haven't had any luck finding a software program to do what I want either. Does anyone here know how to make Windows Explorer advance images only with a click of the mouse (or an arrow or Page Down key)?
I attached one of the images.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have PowerPoint software on my computer. BUT, about one minute ago I stumbled upon a fix. By right clicking the mouse, I can control the timing. Don't know why I didn't think to try that earlier.
Thanks anyway.

We use Photodex's Proshow Gold at our camera club. It has a wizard if you like that will put your slide show in order, add music, voice over, etc. I hope this helps. Gary

Gmail and, I think, hotmail have cloud programs that are like Powerpoint. I don't know if you can to download the finished product or if you have to be online to use the programs.
I did forget, you can download FastStone Image Viewer (faststone.org), for free or a donation, and it has a slideshow that you can make for free, add music, etc. Your club would need to have it installed on the computer used for viewing. Just a thought. If you can share what you make. Gary
