Virginia bluebells,
Mertensia virginica, is common further south but it is a rare plant here in Michigan. These are some that I have going here.
Native to eastern North America, from Boraginaceae (the Borage Family).

Yes. When you see a patch of these in the woods it is so spectacular with that soft grayish-green foliage and the pink buds and and sky blue blossoms. I finally feel like I have captured that this year with these images after years of trying.

I've always found them a difficult subject to shoot. And I have never been as light on the saturation slider as this.
Nice. I saw something similar to that when I was in Glacier NP. I found the combination of pink and blue interesting.
