Can't pretend to have any expertise on this, so I checked snopes and found lots of debunking of Dr. Mercola's ideas, especially in the 4th item down in this entry:

Also interesting info on Dr.Mikovits whose research forms the basis of Mercola's argument:

Don’t waste you time. Nothing more than conspiratorial claptrap from an anti-vaccine activist with very questionable scientific ethics.

Way above me. But is the Anti-anti-vaccine argument settled science?

Fotoartist asks: "...is the Anti-anti-vaccine argument settled science?"

Hah! Remember "flat earth"? How about "Earth is the center of the solar system"? There's no such thing as "settled science" because every day some inquiring mind discovers something new that repudiates what is considered the absolute last word on any scientific matter.

"Settled science" is a POLITICAL concept, promoted by those who push for policy changes. Anyone who dares to contradict "settled science" with alternate theories or countervailing actual evidence is villified, ridiculed and branded a heretic, threatened with job loss, hounded out of office, fired and sometimes imprisoned to prevent the spread of truth. Remember what has happened to the thousands of scientists who never supported the "human-caused global warming" myth? They lost funding, lost jobs, lost titles so their truth was summarily suppressed. The so-called 97 per cent consensus of climate scientists touted by Al Gore and Obama who supported the myth was composed of 97% of fewer than two hundred individuals, pushed by governments for policy reasons to blame man-made carbon dioxide emissions for super extremely inflated computer modelling predictions of changing climate that have all proven overly pessimistic over the last two decades. "Consensus", by the way, is not science, and definitely not "settled science". Consensus is simply opinion awaiting proof or disproof.

The same thing is happening with this pandemic crisis. And Snopes has been known to be wrong in the past, and not above political influence. There are just too many inconsistencies from official sources about Coroavirus and Covid-19--its spread, its effects, the mainstream media pushing the panic button, and the actual effectiveness of mandated responses--to accept everything at face value. The are many emerging studies by well-respected medical professionals indicating that vaccines can have deleterious effects. But the uproar against them is loud because the medical establishment has much to lose financially (billions!) if the push for world-wide mandatory vaccinations is halted.

There is absolutely no question that vaccines and are generally safe. Indeed small pox is extinct because of vaccination. I can recall the circular scar on everyone's arm. When I was a child EVERY kid had chicken pox, measles, and mumps.

There is, however, no guarantee of a COVID vaccine. Presently, no effective vaccine for any Corona virus disease(e.g. the common cold) exists. The flu vaccine does also does not work super well as there many mutations of this virus.

Waiting to be safe =Never.

Wrong. Much scientific argument. Also, vaccines vary in effectiveness and safety/danger. There is also a lot of scientific debate about the hazard of 'carrier' materials in vaccines, such as poisonous mercury derivatives. Much of the criticism has been kept out of public view, because some of the major online media like Google and Facebook have chosen to censor out criticism of vaccines.

Replying to fetzler, who posted:

My comment: I personally believe that those who are waiting for a vaccine will be waiting a long, long time. Remember that AIDS was a virus. Oh, and no vaccine yet for that, either. So, do what you need to do in the environment it is right now, and live. Be safe, and be reasonable.

I am not waiting for any vaccine. I would never trust one right now in this political climate anyway, as you don't know what someone (person or company) might portray as safe. And with this medical climate, I don't want to be the guinea pig to find out.

So, please be careful, be safe, and be considerate of others, as well. You cannot control what they do, only what you do. And I still plan to have a life.

That was more true when children didn't get vaccinated before age five or six by which time their immune systems were well up and working. Vaccinating babies with four or five concoctions is a far different ball game, with the long term effects just now beginning to get understood. One current study has found that vaccinated children and adults are about 40% more likely to get diseased. Other studies are showing pretty clear links between vaccination and autism in children. More research is needed, but also more openness about the results--good and bad.

I think we must resist with vigor the Bill Gates' manifest aim to vaccinate (even compulsorily), with his proprietary vaccine everybody everywhere to give himself even more money.

These 'all-vaccinations-are-wonderful' dimwits should be charged with child abuse and stupidity.
