Good one. Who ate the steak?

Those steaks were frozen at the time of the shot. I thawed them out and threw them on the grill. I figured he only touched them for a second and the grill would kill germs. I tried to remember which steak it was so I could eat that one myself but I forgot to keep track. So we're not really sure who ended up eating that one. lol. We're still alive so I guess it was ok.

how did the cat handle the steak after you had finished with the shots.

The cat got cat treats as his modeling fee!

That was a good idea firing the dogs and hiring the cat, cats take their time when they eat and give the photographer more time for a good shot. The result came out great.

Really great shot. The lighting is great and, of course, it is impossible to take a bad portrait of a cat

You realize of course that cat did not pose for you. Cats never do. They pose for themselves. She decided that since there was a camera around and she is so pretty, she would pose for you. The stake and bacon was just an afterthought.

My photography class Facebook page is trying to help us stay busy in lockdown. So they put up a bunch of words and we all had to pick one. Mine was "Meat". After trying to do this shot with 3 different dogs who ran around uncontrollably at the smell of beef and bacon, I fired those models and hired the cat. Got the shot in 10 seconds. Pick your models wisely! Anyway, this is what I came up with. Just something fun to do when you can't get out. If someone wants to try it, they could close their eyes and pick a word from a magazine or dictionary and base a photo on that word. It's just fun and gets you thinking.

I love the look of intense concentration on the cat's face.
