The new toy is set up

I finally got my new toy in the shop and working.
I have been looking for a nice medium sized vertical milling machine at a reasonable price for years.
Usually when one would show up at a good price I didn't have the money or a shop to put it in.
Thanks to the stimulus money everything came together. It took all morning just to get it into the shop, a low door made it impossible to just set it in, so it was old school, come-alongs and pry bar. Now all I need is batteries for the DRO and to clean up the oil from the one shot oiler system.Image to come later the shot I had was really crappy.

I think it is a Jet clone the owner said he bought it new 20 yrs ago and it looked identical to a Jet sitting next to it.

Thanks. It looks like a Clausing mill I had about 40 years ago.

Nice! Bet it is heavy - did you get it in by yourself? I notice it has digital readouts - nice option

Go with a used Bridgeport, better then most of the new models.

Nice looking mill. Used one for a decade. Wish I had one now. Happy milling!
