I decided to see how this shot would look with the background replaced with white. Sort of a high-key effect.

You have high-keyed the background but not the flower. Doesn't count as high key.

I like the original background. It makes the Day Lily pop out at you.Which do you like best?

I am interested in a reply to the question Stan asked, "Which do you prefer, Dan?" Or are they of equal interest, or too soon to know?

I am attracted to both; however, the flaw on the one flower (missing a petal) is more noticeable in #2.

I like the white background a little better, I think.

Excellent work in creating #2 but I prefer #1 as the flowers pop more.
