Our temperatures are finally in the 70s in the valley, so the Spring thaw is beginning. This was a good excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful day. The idea to get out came late so these shots are mid-day and the light is harsh.

I really like our streams when the thaw is working. As you can tell, I concentrated on the flow. This flow is not at peak because I am early and this year's snow pack is about 100" less than last year.

In PP I worked with various portrayals of the streams and water. Your comments and suggestions, as always, are welcome.

I used the Zeiss Batis f/1.8, 85mm on the first shot, but reverted to my Sony 24-70mm for the rest.

The Zeiss 1.8

Nice set, Mike. I see you are not a fan of "silky" water.

Thanks, Barbara. It was great last year, hopefully we will get some good flow.

I appreciate you looking, Ken, and you are correct, I try to capture what I saw in water. Shows that I am not artistic.

Great set. I especially like your water, it even looks like water. Finally someone else besides me that likes to record things as they are. Three or four of them belong on your wall

I appreciate that, Greg, the sounds is one of the reasons that I love being next to the streams when they are running like this.
