First time trying mirror shot with cat

After taking some good advice in the Main Photography Discussion,"Photographing Cat in Mirror", I gave this a try. The surrounding room was unremarkable so I decided to change it to B/W with the antique mirror left in color. I used 2 sources of light, one on each side and placed them according to the diagram in the discussed topic. Any advice on future shots like this?
I have a beautiful small antique mirror with antique brush and comb to go with the mirror that I would love to try next. My cat will pose in many different ways and is very cooperative.

A couple things distract me from the subject, which I think is centered around kitty's eyes. The frame isn't parallel to the pic borders, and I tend to be drawn to things like that. Also, my preference would be for less negative space on the right. Though the cats tail is now fully seen, it might not be needed for a strong effect. Try a closer crop, putting the eyes in upper left along one of the third lines. See what you think.

Great result, love it! I also like the suggestions made by captivecookie and would be interested in a crop of this one, should you be inclined to investigate.

Nice work. Your cat looks a lot like my Wiggins, who is most uncooperative whenever a camera shows up.

Tried a different crop cutting off edge on right and a bit of less empty space on right.

Getting closer. This picture actually has a cropping advantage. You can experiment in multiple choices. Have fun with it.🙂

I tend to favor this tighter version. Love the tone!
